I live in Oslo and run my own café. When I'm not working you'll find me chasing 5K PRs at Bislett Stadion, in the sauna, or eating something really good.
My name is Markus, and I’ve lived in Oslo for fourteen years, though I grew up split between Nittedal, Manila, Vestby, Dar es Salaam, and The Hague. Most of my time goes into running my own café — my husband Stian runs one too, so dinner conversations are mostly proofing times and shift schedules.
When I’m not working, you can usually find me:
- Chasing a new 5K PR at Bislett Stadion
- Unwinding at a sauna somewhere on my Oslo list
- Working through my training plan
- Out on a run, whether it’s a run club, a 10K, or another shot at a 5K PR
