Testing the Zoom Fly 6

Sunday morning, and finally a chance to actually test the new shoes properly instead of just wearing them around the shop.

The shin pain that’s been bothering me all week was the whole reason I picked up the Zoom Fly 6, so I kept today easy on purpose — no watching the pace, just seeing how the legs felt. First few hundred meters felt stiff like always, but by the time I looped past Bislett Stadion it had mostly faded into the background, which is more than I can say for the last few runs.

Nothing dramatic to report, which honestly might be the best outcome. Sticking to Zone 2 today, no 4x4 nonsense until the shins fully settle down. Back to the café in an hour, then we’ll see how it holds up standing on my feet all day.
